Kevin S. Baxter, age 53, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010 after a short illness. He was born in Erie on November 29, 1956 a son of Thelma Garber Baxter and the late LeRoy Walter Baxter Sr.

He worked in maintenance at Meadowgreen Acres. He loved drag racing and boating. He was a former service technician for several Erie car dealerships and enjoyed working on anything mechanical.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother LeRoy W. "Buddy" Baxter, Jr. and a brother-in-law Lee R. Katchen Sr.

Kevin is survived by his mother; two sisters, JoAnne Katchen of Erie, Doris Pry, husband Paul of Cranberry Twp.; a brother Darin Baxter of Erie and a sister-in-law, Janelle Baxter of Erie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of a service at 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Don Fisher officiating. Burial will be private.
