Charlotte was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, and was an avid doll collector and was a member of the Presque Isle Doll club for decades. She was also a member of the Women's Auxiliary Club and served on many boards for the organization. She was also one of the longest standing members of the Frontier Neighborhood Association. The neighborhood would lovingly refer to her as Grandma Steehler. Charlotte was an excellent baker and her chocolate pound cake became a staple at parties and very popular throughout the community. She will be immeasurably missed by many but especially by her family who loved her dearly and will keep her memory alive.
Charlotte was the tough cookie and the eternal optimist, which was only one of her many endearing qualities. She looked forward to her regular Friday night card games with her family where she would frequently win. She led by example and would never let an opportunity pass to have a good laugh at her own expense. She was fiercely dedicated to her family and was very protective of them. We have lost our angel. You were our angel on earth and will remain our angel in heaven. Please watch over our family and let us know how we our doing from time to time. She was preceded in death by her Husband Dr. W.W.
