Joseph F. Pusateri, age 59, of Fairview, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at his residence.

He was born in Pittsburgh on July 30, 1950, a son of Joseph J. and Mary (Zeppuhar) Pusateri.

He graduated from Shaler High School in 1968 and the University of Pittsburgh in 1972. Joseph worked in the insurance industry for 38 years, most recently as an agent at Great Lakes Insurance. Joe taught insurance and risk management courses at Penn State University, The Behrend College, from 1982 to 1994. He was a member of the Sertoma Club and received the District Sertoman of the Year Award in 1987.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is survived by his wife, Julia (Donovan) Pusateri, whom he married on June 28, 1974; a daughter, Christina Arnold, husband Kris, of Bedford, PA; a son Michael Pusateri, wife Rosa, of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Olivia, Isaac and Sophia Arnold and Christian and Esmeralda Pusateri; two brothers, James Randolph, wife Kathi, and Frank Pusateri, wife Elizabeth. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Richard Donovan, wife Susanne, and Timothy Donovan, wife MaryEllen; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Richard and Lucy Donovan.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd. Services will be held there on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Cross Church at 10 a.m.. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
