Diane L. Shaw Smith Fetzner age 56, an "Awesome Mom", of Erie, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. Born in Erie on June 18, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Rose (Mangini) Shaw.

She was a retail business owner for many years, along with being a homemaker, fantastic cook, great friend and good listener. Diane enjoyed dancing and Duke basketball.

Survivors include her loving husband of 12 years, Nick Fetzner; a son, Jeffrey Smith, of Pittsburgh; 3 step-children, Candy Koket and Leo Fetzner, both of Erie, and Francesca Fetzner, of Lewisburg, WV; a grandson, Connor Price; her best friend, Carol Kearney, of Dallas, TX; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and dear friends.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th at Greengarden Boulevard, and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until a Funeral Service at 11 o'clock.
