Mary T. (Carideo) Vincent, age 83, of Millcreek, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010,at Saint Vincent Health Center.

Born in Erie on July 20, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Teresa (Arnoldi) Carideo.
She was a 1944 graduate of Strong Vincent High School. Before retiring in 1991, she was a Deputy Clerk of Courts at the Erie County Court House for twenty one years. A founding member of Our Lady of Peace Church, and member of "The Club Girls", she enjoyed knitting and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Vincent in 2005; a daughter-in-law, Victoria Vincent; two sisters, Lillian Engle and Donna Root; and four brothers, Donald Cardo, Nicholas, Anthony and John Carideo. Survivors include two daughters, Janet Rogers, husband Joel, of Hudson, OH, and Mary Lou Scalzitti, husband John, of Brecksville, OH; two sons, R. Michael Vincent, wife Kathleen, of McKean, PA, and Mark L. Vincent, of Edmonds, WA; seven grandchildren, Seth and Brent Rogers, Matthew and Michelle Vincent, Therese, Olivia and Amanda Scalzitti; a sister, Joyce Jensen, of Erie; three sisters-in-law, Joan Carideo, Sr. M. Ricarda Vincent. SSJ, and Audrey Vieira, husband Jim; several nieces and nephews, and a special niece, Kathryn Malthaner.



Friends may call Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard. Services there Tuesday at 9:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10 AM. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
