Rose A. Cianella (2010-07-10)

Rose A. Cianella, age 94, of Fairview, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Fairview Manor. She was born on November 30, 1915 in Hillsville, PA a daughter of the late Adam and Julietta (Guiliani) Pellegrinelli.

Rose had worked as a bookkeeper for the Pennsylvania State Bureau of Rehabilitation retiring in 1979. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and active in the P.T.A. and Boy Scouts there. Rose was also active in S.A.G.E., at Gannondale, with the Hilltopers and in the Wolves Auxilary. She enjoyed travelling, cards, reading and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and their wives: John "Punch" and Betty Pellegrinelli and Mario "Jake" and Virginia Pellegrinelli and a niece Karen Pellegrinelli.
Rose is survived by a son John M. Cianella, wife Susan of Erie, a daughter, Adele R. Bethune, husband Douglas of Fairview; four grandsons: John M. Cianella, Jr., wife Stacy of Florida, Joseph Cianella of Utah, Jason M. Cianella, wife Amanda of Pittsburgh, Marc R. Bethune of Fairview; two granddaughters: Julie M. Cianella of Texas and Laura L. Courtney, husband Edward of Virginia. She is also survived by two nieces: Gale Magyar, husband Gary and Ginny DiGello, husband Dennis and six great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at the Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street. Services will be held there Thursday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ted Marconi presiding. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emmaus Ministries or St. Paul's Neighborhood Clinic.
Rose's family would like to thank the staff of Fairview Manor for their love and care over the past five years.
