Agnes T. Ukleja Parks, 90, resident of Spring Hill / Forestview, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010.

She was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, February 1, 1920, the daughter of late Stanley and Catherine Ukleja. Agnes was married to her loving husband Joseph R. Parks for forty years until his death in 1990. They were longtime residents of upper Old French Road and members of St. Luke Church and the Blue Army.

She was preceded in death by her brother Jan Ukleja.

Survivors include her children, Robert W. Parks and his wife Linda of Plattsburgh, New York, Nancy Parks of Atlanta, Georgia, and Patty Lagner and her husband Steve of Erie, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, David Parks and his wife Melissa of Danbury, Connecticut, Matthew Parks and Jocelyn Parks of Plattsburgh, New York, Stephanie Lagner and Jillian Lagner of Erie, Pennsylvania; one great grandson, Tyler David Parks of Danbury, Connecticut.

Agnes enjoyed singing with the St. Luke parish choir, traveling, ballroom and line dancing, cooking, shopping and bocce. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.


The family will be receiving friends on Friday, July 16, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home,LLP, 845 East 38th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania. A funeral service will be held on there on Saturday, July 17 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Church, 421 East 38th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
