Shirley Gallagher Houlihan, 80 years, of Erie, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Golden Living Center at Walnut Creek.

Born in Erie November 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Lucille Costello Gallagher. She was employed by Kaufmann's Department Store in the China Department for 16 years and retired in 1992. Shirley was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph E. Gallagher.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Thomas A. Houlihan, her daughter, Carol Crouch, husband Charles, of Erie; her sons, Kevin Houlihan, wife Tomasina, of Mount Jackson, VA and James Houlihan and his close friend Laura of Yardley, PA; two grandchildren, Ryan and Nicole Crouch and two nieces.

Friends may call at Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th at Greengarden Blvd., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services there Saturday at 12:30 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
