Robert J. Tobin, age 84 years, of Erie, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010.

He was born in Oil City, PA, April 28, 1926, a son of the late Thomas J. and Marie Lobaugh Tobin.
Robert served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as an assembler with Erie General Electric Company for over 25 years, retiring some 24 years ago. He had also worked at Elmwood Beer for over 32 years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church where he worked bingo. He enjoyed wood crafting and making model planes. But most of all, he enjoyed time with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie M. Tobin, August 4, 2009 , a brother, Thomas J. Tobin, Jr. and two sisters, Anna Marie Stoudt and Dorothy M. Stoudt. Survivors include two sons,Dave Tobin and his wife Mary and Scott Tobin and his wife Jenise, all of Erie; and four grandchildren, Tiffany, Sarah, Courtney and Matthew Tobin. Friends may call at the A. Brugger & Sons Funeral Home, LLP, 845 East 38 Street, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend services there Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Church at 11 a.m. Burial in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery. |
