Biagio A. Colecchia, age 79, passed away Saturday at Golden Living Western Reserve formerly of Brighton Ave. He was born in Forli del Sanio, Italy September 10, 1930, he was the son of the late Franchesco and Antonietta DeFranco Colecchia.

Biagio owned and operated Colecchia Construction Co. for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing bocce and loved working at the family business.

Besides his parents was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Panetta Colecchia in 1991; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors include a son, Frank Colecchia, wife Theresa, of McKean; 3 grandchildren, Paula Colecchia Fiancé John Davis, of Union City, Carla Colecchia, of Erie, and Frank Colecchia, Jr. fiancé Amber Cuzzola, of Millcreek; three great grandchildren, Dakota, Donavin and Alivia Colecchia; a nephew, Tonino Lombardi, wife Lynn of Millcreek; one sister and several relatives in Italy.
Friends may call at Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th at Greengarden, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a services there Wednesday at 12 Noon with Pastor Blaire Smith of Asera Care Hospice. Interment at Trinity Cemetery.
